UN publication highlights Azerbaijan’s experience within “Alliance to Fight Avoidable Blindness Campaign”

The third volume of the Good Practices in South-South and Triangular Cooperation for Sustainable Development publication of the United Nations Office for South-South Cooperation has highlighted Azerbaijan’s experience within the “Alliance to Fight Avoidable Blindness Campaign” implemented in a strategic partnership with the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) in African countries that are members of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).

Republic of Azerbaijan made a donation to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation

In response to the appeal of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to its member states regarding the tense socio-economic situation in Sahel region of Africa, in order to support the reorganization of the humanitarian and development department of OIC in Niger into the OIC’s Regional Office, by the instruction of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mr.Ilham Aliyev, the aid in the amount of US$ 100 thousand has been donated to OİC by the Azerbaijani Cabinet of Ministers.

Donation of the Government of Azerbaijan for contributing to the elimination of consequences of bushfires in Australia

Upon the instruction of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, 50.000 USD of humanitarian aid was provided to the Commonwealth of Australia in accordance with the Order of the Cabinet of Ministers for contributing to the elimination of severe consequences of large-scale bushfires raged in the end of 2019 and in the beginning of 2020.
