The opening ceremony of “Advanced Foreign Service Program for Foreign Diplomats” organized in our country for the first time by AIDA in the framework of cooperation with ADA University in order to support human development in developing countries since was held on 12 November, 2018.
On October 29-31, 2018, the delegation led by Mr. Seymur Fataliyev, head of the Azerbaijan International Agency (AIDA), participated in the meeting of the Development Assistance Committee of the Organisation of Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD/DAC) that was devoted to the increase of the effectiveness of the implementation of Sustainable Development Goals.
On 26 October, 2018 a round-table: "Investing in future: towards sustainable and inclusive development” was held at the ADA University on the margins of VI Baku International Humanitarian Forum. The round-table was organized by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences and Azerbaijan International Development Agency (AIDA) within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan.
The representative of Azerbaijan participated at the “3rd Dialogue Meeting of the International Development Agencies of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation Member States”, organized by the Government of Indonesia together with the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) on 18-19 October, 2018 in Bali.
On October, 2018, the Republic of Azerbaijan, which is always with the Palestinian people in the difficult times and is committed to the Islamic solidarity, provided financial assistance in the amount of $ 200,000 to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA), which currently faces serious financial constraints.
